What Is A Speech?

There are a lot of people who that when it comes to a speech you have just the introduction, the body, and the summary or ending; however, a speech is so much more than body of words.

You will want to think about things like capturing a person’s interest and how you carry yourself as well. There are many things that you need to learn how to control when it comes to giving a speech.

First, you have to think about your body languages.

You will wan to make sure that you seem to be sincere and that your body is stating the same message that is coming out of your mouth. You will want to carry yourself with poise and confidence.

You will want to do this so that you can show your audience what exactly you are talking about. Those who mix messages end up losing the audience anyway.

You will also wan to practice your speech, articulation that is. You will want to make sure that you work on the vocals and the way that you say things. When others get nervous it is hard to control the vocal cords and the mouth.

However, you will want to make sure that you drink plenty of water before and even during the speech if you have to. You will wan to make sure that everyone hears every word.

The pronunciation is another key word to delivering a good speech. You can not say words like “uh” or any other fillers. You need to stick to the words that you want to say and the words that you need to say.

However, the way you say the words could mean everything.

Your pitch will affect the way your voice sounds.

You will have to do everything you can to avoid being monotone. But you also don’t want to sound like you are excited about everything.

You also have to think about your speed and pauses. As for speed, you are going to have to learn to control what is appropriate. You don’t want o appear like you are a gabber. You also do want to sound like you are giving a lecture either.

You will want to make sure that your speech is going comfortably so that everyone can understand you. It is natural to go fast in the beginning; however, you have to learn to control the fear so that you can give a good speech.

As for pauses, you will find that a pause can be dramatic, but you don’t want to seem overly dramatic. You will want to use a pause to highlight some information, but not all information.

Keep in mind that your speech is more than just words, it is everything.

It is your posture, it is your vocals, it is everything that you need to say and deliver your speech. You should always keep that in mind when giving a speech of any sorts.
